1. Prompt spine (human, ordered)
-
P1 - Full Cursor roadmap from an extensive feature list. (earlier export, ~19:02) Same class of work as prior docs, but the feature list is large. Demand: carefully walk every feature, name the underlying intent, what could support it, read every shared document thoroughly, take time, then produce a detailed roadmap Cursor can execute directly.
-
P2 - Completeness challenge on the prior roadmap. (richer export, ~19:04) “Are you sure?” Force a second pass: re-read shared documents, confirm nothing implementation-critical is still pending, review the final against the docs iteratively five to six cycles, keep phase segmentation order honest, then re-emit a final detailed roadmap only after that loop.
2. Start state
Builder-director stance, not casual product chat. Atlas already exists as a mental product: Thinking Workspace, not another chat client. The anxiety is shipping incompleteness dressed as polish: features scattered across documents, Cursor ready to implement, phase order easy to scramble. The human wants intent-backed modules and a closed completeness loop, not a pretty summary of ideas.
3. Transitions (impulses)
Start → P1
- Director mode on: stop brainstorming; pack the feature surface into something buildable.
- Intent first: every feature must answer “why does this exist,” not only “what does it do.”
- Speed vs thoroughness: explicit “no need to rush” to block shallow checklist generation.
P1 → first TRD (shorter PRD/TDD)
- Frame accepted: Atlas = Thinking Workspace; three principles land as the spine.
- Schema ban lands hard: do not root architecture in “chat.”
- Still incomplete itch: modules exist, but the human does not trust one-pass coverage of an extensive list.
P1 answer → P2
- Doubt as method: “Are you sure?” is QC, not politeness.
- Document-grounded iteration: compare answer to shared docs repeatedly, not regenerate from memory.
- Phase order is product: face/phase segmentation must stay correct or the build path lies.
P2 → final TRD (richer 490-line package)
- Convinced on structure: philosophy → data model → nine modules → visual data flow → six Cursor phases → feature summary table.
- Content yanked in (kept): dual modes, ten workspace objects, bubble engine state, gestures (throw, park, snap, pin), ADHD/quick/scratch spawn, seven workers, ten memory entities, compression ladder, export directory, 60 FPS desk-card constraint.
- End hunt: a single instruction package Cursor can execute without re-inventing product intent.
4. Inner state arc
| Stage | State |
|---|---|
| Start | Extensive feature surface; need Cursor-grade architecture, not more ideation |
| After P1 ask | Thoroughness mandate; intent under every feature |
| After first roadmap | Useful spine; trust incomplete until audited |
| Peak (P2) | Iterative completeness as the real job |
| End hunt | Full TRD that forbids chat-schema gravity and orders build phases so philosophy survives implementation |
5. Speech habits visible in this source only
- Directive, second-person tasking to the model (“Go over,” “Make sure,” “Review… iteratively”).
- Completeness language: pending implementation, incorporated, thoroughly, five to six cycles.
- Process meta: compare final response with documents; re-produce only after confidence.
- Product language under stress: feature list, roadmap, Cursor, documents that were shared, phase / face segmentation order.
- Short challenge openers: “are you sure?” as a quality gate, not a vibe check.
- Preference for intent + support + sequence over brainstorm energy.
- Same-day double pass: first “extensive list carefully,” then “audit and re-ship.”
